Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS: Draf II/III Frontal Sinusotomy)

Endoscopic frontal sinusoplasty may be considered when chronic frontal sinusitis or recurrent acute attacks persist with obstruction, frontal distending pain, or complications such as mucus retention/cyst formation after adequate medication and irrigation, and other conservative treatments. The decision is made with reference to imaging and endoscopic findings, the extent of the lesion (whether it involves both sides/is accompanied by nasal polyps), previous surgical history and risk of recurrence, and overall health and anesthesia assessment.
