Ablation

Mostly used for hepatocellular carcinoma or metastatic lesions, can be considered when the lesion is small, the number is limited and the location is easy to puncture. The decision depends on staging, relationship with blood vessels and bile ducts, previous treatment response, liver function and coagulation status. It can also be used as a bridge, or in combination with transarterial chemoembolization (TACE).
