Palatal Tumor Resection

Surgical resection may be considered when a benign mass appears in the palate, affecting chewing, pronunciation, or causing recurrent bleeding and infection, or when imaging and pathology suggest malignancy/suspicion of malignancy. The decision depends on the size of the tumor, whether it involves bone and adjacent structures, previous treatment response, general condition, and reconstruction conditions. Whether synchronous neck management and postoperative radiotherapy are needed is determined by multidisciplinary assessment.
