Suitable for benign nodules that require surgical resection but wish to reduce midline neck scars, or small, low-risk thyroid cancers that meet the criteria. The decision is based on nodule size and location, ultrasound/puncture results, whether surrounding structures are involved, previous surgical history and general condition, and whether corresponding equipment and surgeon experience are available.
