Anterior Lamellar Keratoplasty

Superficial lamellar keratoplasty can be considered when superficial corneal scars, opacities, or surface lesions affect vision and appearance, and corneal endothelial function is good. The decision is based on the depth and extent of the lesion, response to previous treatments, presence of active infection, corneal endothelial cell status, dry eye and eyelid conditions, and patient compliance and feasibility of follow-up.
