Polydactyly Excision + Ligament/Tendon/Flap Reconstruction

Surgery may be considered when the extra finger(toe) restricts grasping or walking, causes joint deviation, repeated friction and ulceration, or hygiene inconvenience. The decision is based on the type of deformity, bone and joint involvement, soft tissue condition, previous treatment response, age and overall health, and an assessment of whether the required reconstruction conditions are available.
