Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP)

Enhanced external counterpulsation (EECP) may be considered when stable angina persists despite drug therapy, or when revascularization is not suitable due to anatomical and risk factors. Suitability depends on whether the heart rhythm can be synchronized, blood pressure and peripheral vascular condition, previous treatment responses, and overall tolerance, and is determined by specialist assessment.
